IDPs
not immigrants: ANP
Karachi
Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh
President Shahi Syed said on Friday that the internally displaced
persons (IDPs) should be taken as ‘affected’ people rather than
immigrants.
He said that it should be highlighted
that they were in fact victims of terrorism. He appealed to all
patriots to help their brothers and sisters in their time of need.
Syed also expressed his profound
grief at the incident in Kashmore of Rangers and political groups
stopping buses carrying IDPs, and also conveyed his sorrow over the
refusal of Sindh and Punjab to accommodate IDPs in their provinces.
He said that the affected should be
allowed to go anywhere in the country on account of being a
Pakistani national. He also appealed to the government to take
immediate notice of the incident in Kashmore as well as the banning
of IDPs’ entry in Sindh and Punjab.
