Sindhis will not be converted into a minority
KARACHI:
Sindh Culture and Tourism Minister Sassui Palijo said that she has
recommended the government to set camps for the internally displaced
people (IDPs) of the NWFP in Mardan and other districts of NWFP and
not in Sindh.
“Inviting IDPs to Sindh is a move to convert the citizens of Sindh
into a minority,” Palijo said while addressing the annual passing
out ceremony of a local college in Hyderabad. She stated that in the
past, all the army rulers have weakened Sindh economically.
“In the past, all efforts were made to convert Sindhis into a
minority but now the time has come for the government to come
forward and remove these feelings of inferiority from Sindh,” she
went on to say, adding that if solid measures will not be taken, the
people of Sindh will be completely converted into a minority on
their own land. staff report
