India blamed for Lahore attacks
People carry a wounded police officer during a siege by terrorists at the Manawan police training school in Lahore.—File Photo LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Pervez Rathore said on Friday he believed on the basis of collected evidence that India was behind the terrorist attacks on the Sri Lankan team at the Liberty Chowk and the Manawan Police Training Centre. Talking to reporters after inaugurating construction work on a hospital in the Qila Gujjar Singh police lines, he said: ‘On the basis of the evidence we have collected, I can say with confidence that India is involved in the two attacks.’ 'We have completed our investigation in collaboration with sister organisations (intelligence agencies and other security departments) and we have traced the people involved in the attacks,’ he said. ‘Soon, we will present them in front of the media,’ he added Source:DAWN,Karachi Saturday, 11 Apr, 2009
