Urge nation to stand united against TNSM chief
RAWALPINDI: The government must establish its writ in the country
and flush out terrorists and extremists to save the country. This
consensus emerged at Istehqam-e-Pakistan Convention organised by
Markazi Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnat Pakistan (MJASP) at a local hotel on
Tuesday.
The MJASP Supreme Council chairman, Maulana Pir Muhammad
Atique-ur-Rehman, former AJK prime minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum
Khan, MJASP Nazim-e-Ahla Syed Irfan Hussain Mashhadi, Maulana Mufti
Muneeb-ur-Rehman of Tanzim-ul-Madaris, Suuni Tehrik Amir Sarwat Ijaz
Qadri, Dr Sarfaraz Naeemi, JUP-Noorani leader Syed M Mehfooz
Mashhadi, Haji Muhammad Hanif of Nizam-e-Mustafa (SAW) Party, Mufti
M Iqbal Naeemi, Pir Syed Azmat Ali Shah and other religious leaders

The speakers condemned the ongoing activities of the banned TNSM
chief Maulana Sufi Muhammad for promulgation of sharia in Malakand
Division and said that enforcement of sharia through gun was not
acceptable to any citizen of Pakistan. They said a handful of
religious fanatics and militants patronized by the US during the
so-called Afghan jihad were creating problems for the country and
urged President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza
Gilani and chiefs of armed forces to ensure peace in the Tribal
Areas.
A unanimous resolution was also passed on this occasion that
condemned the ongoing drone attacks in the Tribal Areas and urged
the Obama administration to put an end to these attacks. It also
condemned the killing of religious scholars of MJASP and sacrilege
of sacred places in Malakand Division.Maulana Pir Atique said that
the religious scholars of Ahl-e-Sunnat had played their role during
the Pakistan Movement and they would spare no sacrifice for the
stability and integrity of the country. “Those who termed
Jihad-e-Kashmir un-Islamic are actually American agents,” he added. Sardar
Abdul Qayyum said that the US wanted to destroy Pakistan after Iraq.
American support to Pakistan Army in Swat is a sign of concern,” he
said.

parliament should tell the nation that why the mandate of 160
million people of Pakistan had been sacrificed in Swat by
promulgating sharia. He also expressed his resentment at the passage
of Nizam-e-Adl resolution within 45 minutes in parliament without
any discussion and said that it amounted to violation of the
Constitution.
Maulana Sarfaraz Naeemi said that the members belonging to
Ahl-e-Sunnat were helpless in Malakand Division and a convention
should be held in Peshawar to express solidarity with them.“Maulana
Sufi Muhammad is violating the Constitution and the political and
religious forces of the country should stand together against him,”
said Sarwat Ijaz Qadri.Haji Muhammad Hanif Tayab stressed the need
for formation of a think tank to counter the negative tactics of
anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan forces.
