Saleem sees no Talibanisation threat in AJK
KARACHI - Acting President Azad Kashmir Saleem Butt on Thursday
visited the MQM headquarter Nine Zero, where the MQM provincial
minister Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari and other members including Anees
Ahmed Kaimkhani, Waseem Aftab, Kanwar Khalid Younis, Ashfaq Mangi,
Saleem Tajik and office bearers of MQM greeted him warm reception
and showered flower petals on him.
To a query about the presence of Taliban in Azad Kashmir, he said
that there was no threat of Talibanisation in Kashmir, adding that
AJK government has extended its full support to the government of
Pakistan against Talibanisation.
Azad Kashmir Minister Saleem Khokar, Sindh Provincial Minister
Khalid Bin Wilayat, member Sindh Assembly Muzammil Qureshi and
others were also present on the occasion.
Acting President AJK Saleem Butt has arrived in the metropolis on a
three-day official visit on Thursday. Earlier, he offered Fateha at
the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and also visited
the graves of MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s parents and martyrs of MQM
at Yaseenabad graveyard.
Butt said that he had come to pay his gratitude to Altaf and party
workers over their support to him, saying that his slot was the
result of their hard work. He said that due to Altaf Hussain, MQM
workers were reaching on the top slots of the country.
He announced that he would visit Swat, Mardan and other affected
areas on the directives of Altaf.
He pointed out that the government of Azad Kashmir has taken several
steps to enhance the tourism in Kashmir. On the occasion, MQM Rabita
Committee member and Provincial Minister Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari said
that appointment of Saleem Butt as acting president of Azad Kashmir
was a miracle. “I have heard about the miracles, but now I have seen
it,” he added.
