route for India
THIS is preposterous that India will get Afghan transit trade route
(news report, May 7). The Indians have 16 consulates and more than
126 outposts in Afghanistan. Why? These are designed to cause
instability in Pakistan.
India had once vowed to take revenge about its armed forces
extension in Kashmir and to wreak similar havoc in Pakistan. It
seems they are succeeding with the active ‘help’ from some of their
big strategic partners who profess to be our friends.
So now they complete the coup de grace by making our own president
agree to a longstanding Indian demand that has been continuously
rejected, latest even by president Musharraf. So where is the
parliament, where are the other tiers of our democratic, elected
government? Are they not going to be even consulted? Do they have a
voice?
