‘Mohajir
Raabta Council’ responds to PPP Sindh info secy
Karachi
An example
of patriotism should be set by allowing the affected families from
the NWFP to settle in Punjab, Mohajir Raabta Council (Pakistan)
Secretary Information Prof. Minhaj-ul-Arfin has said.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, Prof. Arfin expressed these
views in response to a statement by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)
Karachi Secretary Information Saeed Ghani.
Prof. Arfin said that references from the Constitution were being
quoted for settling these displaced persons in Sindh.
He went on to say that it was “tragic” that the PPP “spoke against
the interests of Sindh” when it was in power and “praised the Sindhi
soil” when it was out of power.
He said that the PPP should “be reasonable” and “set an example of
patriotism” by settling the displaced families in Punjab. He advised
PPP leaders to “take the reservations of permanent inhabitants of
Sindh seriously” and to work towards removing these “uncertainties.”
