Punjab CM’s aide resigns over rape charge LAHORE: PML-N MPA Munawar Gill has resigned as special assistant to the Punjab chief minister following the registration of a rape case against him, and Shahbaz Sharif has accepted his resignation, a private TV channel reported on Tuesday. The MPA has been accused of raping a Green Town resident, who told police that she had gone to meet Gill in a Gulberg hotel to get a property issue resolved, where he raped her.
